Growing up Bert attended Jesuit High School and would later attend Florida State University (FSU). While attending college, Kreischer majored in english and was apart of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity.
In Kreischer’s sixth year, he was featured in a six-page Rolling Stone article naming him the ”Top Partyer at the Number One Party School” in the country.
Later, Rolling Stone director Oliver Stone, opted for the rights to Kreischer’s life. The deal ended up falling through and one of the writer’s changed Kreischer’s name and sold the script to National Lampoon. The film, ”National Lampoon’s Van Wilder” released in 2022, staring Ryan Reynolds.
