Bandman Kevo (Kevin Ford) was born on February 16, 1990. Originally born in Chicago, Illinois, United States. He grew up listening to Chicago native rappers like Chief Keef and King Louie, also being inspired by 50 Cent and Soulja Boy.

Growing up in a low-income neighbourhood in Chicago, he wanted more for himself and his family. After realizing that he wasn’t learning anything in school, Bandman Kevo dropped out of high school in the 10th grade.

In 2014, Bandman Kevo was arrested and charged for bank fraud. He pled guilty for one count of conspiracy to commit bank fraud. Later,  he was sentenced to 22 months in prison which involved a credit card scam.

Court documents alleged in the affidavit that six individuals obtained upwards of $639,745 in a bank fraud scheme called ”cracking cards”. He reported that he would do everything that he could to keep his rap career alive while serving his 22 month prison sentence.

In June 2021, Bandman Kevo was arrested in Miami-Dade County on five charges, including evidence tampering. The five charges included evidence tampering, resisting arrest, gun charges and assaulting a police officer.

Him and his co-conspirators allegedly relied on social media to deposit fake checks into bank accounts, later withdrawing the money at ATMs. He was released on a $7,500 bond.

Career

Bandman Kevo’s professional career started in 2013 when he released his debut mixtape, ”The Bandman Diaries”. He began to see major media attention from the hip hop industry, and released two more mixtapes, ”Bandman World” (2014), and ”Kevo 2x” (2015).

In 2014, he released the single, ”Who Is Dat”, gaining major notoriety. The song accumulated more than 1 Million views on YouTube.

Later that year, Bandman Kevo released the single, ”Baller In Me”. The song also received a lot of attention on YouTube, becoming one of his most popular songs at the time of it’s release.

In 2019, he released the single ”Uber”. This song would end up becoming an instant hit racking up more than 3 Million streams on Spotify and almost 2 Million views on YouTube. That same year, he released the songs ”TOR Browser” and ”Nameless”.

By 2021, Bandman Kevo was ready to release new music. His most popular song of 2021, ”Stop Playing With Me” achieved nearly 1 Million streams on Spotify. He released ”So Much Smoke” and ”Hacking” that same year.
