In June 2021, Bandman Kevo was arrested in Miami-Dade County on five charges, including evidence tampering. The five charges included evidence tampering, resisting arrest, gun charges and assaulting a police officer.
Him and his co-conspirators allegedly relied on social media to deposit fake checks into bank accounts, later withdrawing the money at ATMs. He was released on a $7,500 bond.
